Description This 33 page typescript is entitled "The Life and Times of Bernard Joy Johnson" and is dated April 6, 1984. It is the personal reminiscence of Mr. Johnson who was born in Southern Ohio and moved to Madison County, Montana in 1908. The family butchered hogs and sold them in Butte. Included are recollections of ranch life, school in Cardwell, bear hunting, moving to California in the 1920's and returning to Montana in the 1940's, and stories about Whitehall, West Yellowstone, and South Boulder.
